O rapper Curtis Jackson a ficar sem a corrente num show ao vivo, aos 1:38 The Rapper Curtis Jackson losing his chain in a live concert at 1:38 The parents of the man who is accused of snatching a necklace from 50 Cent during a G-Unit show in Angola turned their son in to the police on Sunday to face charges in the incident. According to the Angola Press, Bruno Carvalho, whose age was not given, was handed over to police after the widespread footage of the chain grab leaked out. Carvalho, who is accused of grabbing the chain during a concert at the Cidadela Pavilion in Luanda, is expected to face criminal charges. In a statement to the Angolan News Agency, Carlos Mota, head of the National Police Analysis, Information and Studies Office, thanked the thief's parents for handing him over to the authorities. The incident occurred during a show that was part of the first day of the International Peace Festival. In the widely circulated fan video that captured the incident, a man can be seen climbing onstage and ripping what appears to be a necklace from 50's neck, then jumping back into the crowd. 50 addressed the matter on his personal Web site, ThisIs50.com, writing, "Recently 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo were performing in Angola, Africa. Being that security was limited, fans were able to interact with the group onstage. However one fan had a different motive, and bit off more than he can chew, as he attempted to run up on 50 and snatch his chain." According to the ...

Batida - "Bazuka (Quem me Rusgou?)"
Batida - "Bazuka (Quem me Rusgou?)"
Ya. Só era isso. This time, we dived into the archives of RTP Africa. The idea was to select images that illustrate the hidden story behind "Bazuka", the track that started "Dance Mwangolé". We hand-picked and mixed historical footage, with some contemporary images we collected over the last years. Others were sampled from of our documentary "É Dreda Ser Angolano". Then we took some graphics that Roda made for the cd, Limão made a few extra illustrations, Macaco Simão did the animation and it was concluded with some post production. The need to make this video increased, because most people couldn't get the minimal story behind "Bazuka". So here it is: "Bazuka" is based on the testimony of a popular in our documentary "É Dreda Ser Angolano", who raises an unanswered question: "Who drafted me?" He was "drafted" as a child ...

Ilyushin IL-18 Aborted take off
An Ilyushin IL-18 Coot ( Alada D2-FFR) Operated by DHL aborts takeoff from the 8202 ft long airstrip at Cabinda, West Africa. The pilot has done an excellent job; - there's a busy public road beyond the boundary fence, less than 50 metres from the end of the runway. Please don't ask me why he aborted; Sorry, I simply don't know. I have been advised that in point of fact this is a (former) IL-22 airborne command post stripped of mission equipment - note the fin tip pod which regular IL-18s do not have. Thanks to MrZlodeus for this info This old coot remained in service; spotted at Luanda on 13th July 2009

perfect day
perfect day
a perfect day by lou reed performed on accordion. "Perfect Day" is a song written by Lou Reed in 1972, originally featured on Transformer, Reed's second post-Velvet Underground solo album. Its fame was given a boost in the 1990s when it was featured in the 1996 film Trainspotting, and after its release as a star-studded charity single in 1997. Reed re-recorded the song for his 2003 album The Raven. A cover recorded by Duran Duran reached #28 on the UK Singles Chart in 1995. The original recording, like the rest of the Transformer album, was produced by David Bowie, with guitarist Mick Ronson providing the arrangement. The song has a somber vocal delivery and slow, piano-based instrumental backing balancing tones of sweet nostalgia ("it's such a perfect day, I'm glad I spent it with you") with an undercurrent of menace ("you're gonna reap just what you sow" The line alludes to Galatians 6:7: "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." The song's lyrics are often considered to suggest simple, conventional romantic devotion, possibly alluding to Reed's relationship with Bettye Kronstadt (soon to become his first wife) and Reed's own conflicts with his sexuality, drug use, and ego. Some commentators have further seen the lyrical subtext as displaying Reed's romanticized attitude towards a period of his own addiction to heroin; this popular understanding of the song as an ode to addiction led to its inclusion in the soundtrack ...

Buraka Som Sistema - Hangover (BaBaBa)
Buraka Som Sistema - Hangover (BaBaBa)
Hangover (Bababa) Co-Produced by Buraka Som Sistema & Stereotyp. Video Directed by João Pedro Moreira & Carlos Afonso. 'Hangover (BaBaBa)' is out on June 6th on Enchufada including remixes from Tony Senghore, Swick and Oui' Wack. The track's maddeningly catchy 'BaBaBa' hook originated when the group were in Rangel 'City' in Luanda, Angola, visiting some of their favourite Kuduro producers including DJ Znobia. As Buraka's Kalaf Ângelo remembers, "He played us one of his tracks featuring Nacobeta, a local MC, where he used this hook and it immediately got our attention! We then used it in some of our early shows and the crowd loved it because of its simplicity and raw energy. While working on the new album, the beat we produced with Stereotyp had that same energy so it made perfect sense to bring it back for the chorus and close the cycle." more info: www.buraka.tv
